RE: 33s on a stock truck?
Yeah they'll fit. Some guys on here have 35's on their trucks without cranking the bars. If you have the stock 265/70R17's like me, and do a little math, they are 32" tires. And those have a lot of room as it is. So, yes 33's will fit without a problem. I'm actually going to mount some 35's once I buy some fender flares. I think the flares will make it look better with the wider tire.

As far as 33s go the factory 275/65/20s are a 33" tire. The 35s will have a slight rub on the sway bar I believe, but nothing too serious, and every truck is different so while somebody was able to get away with 35s without cranking the T-Bars, yoursmay require slight cranking.

Excuse my ignorance but could someone tell me some more info. on cranking the torsion bars? Also what kind of 33 is out there to fit a 17in rim? And lastly is really ok to put a 35in tire on my truck stock? I was told 285/70/17 was the biggest I could go, and If my math is correct a 35in is much bigger than that. Could someone clear up this stuff for me? Thanks

A 285/70/17 is a 33, and is the most popular size for a 17 inch rim.
To crank the torsion bars, you just turn the adjusting bolts on the torsion bar bracket, right to go up, left to go down, it's easiest to jack up the front end and get the front tires off the ground.
A 35 really fills up the fender on a stock truck, but it does fit, a 315/70/17 is a 35 and fits a little bit better then a 35x12.50R17.

I haven't seen too many people refer to tire size calculators on this forum, but I've been using these 2 links for a while. One gives you a neat lil pic (LOL) of how much different two tires are to each other....

The advantages are that you get more clearance for bigger tires and can level out the truck. Disadvantages are that if you aren't careful, and you over crank the torsion bars the CV shafts can drop out of the differential, but I've only heard of one person doing that, and they did it after they put a lift kit on their truck.
If you have the Rotations per Mile number of the tire then the dealership can recalibrate your speedo, it will cost you about $90.
