Default Sirius Sound Quality

I just has Sirius installed in my 05 QC. I am a little disapointed in the sound quality. Sounds like it is "canned" sometimes. Has anyone experienced this?

I just installed my set-up today. I went aftermarket, all pioneer. I am very pleased, sounds great.

I've found with mine that most of the rock stations, hip hop stations come in very crisp. The news channels sound like FM, I find that rather disappointing and I also noticed that a couple of rock stations like Classic Rewind or Classic Vinyl don't sound as crisp either. Overall though, from the music aspect, I think it sounds quite a bit better than FM and no different than my mp3s ripped at 192KB. I'm using a Sirius S50 player direct connected to my JVC head unit via a 1/8" to stereo RCA patch cables into my aux input.

I went with the Mopar unit connected to my factory RBQ 6 cd unit. Wonder if it is this unit. I have all infinity reference speakers with an infinity 4 channel amp.

My wife has Sirius in her car and I find that the sound quality is excellent with the exception of when we go in some tunnels or we are in Downtown Miami.

I installed Sirius in my truck via a Kenwood unit and it works fine!
Its better than listening to the Miami garbage radio stations!

I know what you mean. Same songs, day in, day out. Over and over. I am really thinking about getting either XM or Sirius in my truck.

I have sirius with the factory nav head unit. I noticed that all the stations do not sound as crisp as a cd or even fm. i mean there is no static it just doesnt have that cd sound it is bland. I know it is not the head unit because i had a 2500 with sirius and it was the same way.
