Default Hemi or Cummings

Okay guys, I just got an 06' 1500 QC Hemi 4x4, and let me tell you, I love it! Today I saw a Mega Cab, I liked it. Now a friend of mine is telling me to trade my truck back and get the Mega Cab Cummings, I bought my truck at 30k, is it really worth it? Price wise.

I have an O6 Mega Cab and after getting the window fixed twice I love it. It's a 2500 diesel. There is absolutely nothing even close on the market when it comes to the extra room. I had a rental Quad and I guess I'm spoiled because I wouldn't even think about getting one over the Mega Cab.

Yeah man them megacabs are awesome growing popularity quick too. If you need and/or want the extra room get it man. The CTD is also an awesome engine so if you wanted to get that with it hellz-yeah. Not to mention te better gas mileage between the Cummins & Hemi.

First of all... It's Cummins... Not "Cummings"
Secondly, drive your truck a little more before deciding you might want something else... I love my truck, sure there are bigger and better and faster trucks... But mine is mine, and I love it.

Cummins or Hemi?? Depends on what you do. If you tow alot of things and need a lot of torque, go for the Cummins. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with a regular gas engine.

Man, if you trade your 06 for another 06, you either better be rich, or be prepared to be UPSIDE DOWN on your new truck. They will take you to the cleaners. The minute you drive it off the lot it depreciates like crazy.

Keep your truck man, if you did tow a lot you would probably already have the cummins. As for the mega cab, yeah they are nice and big but do you absolutely need all the space? I have 2 kids and the QC still has plenty of room. Keep yours for another year or two and then look for the mega cab if you still arent happy.

You won't get nearly as much for the trade. Also you need to think if you need a cummins for the towing power because if you are just a street driver I would stick with the Hemi. But I guess that is just me.

You should think about what kind of driving you do. "Tow" or "offroad"? If your tow, then get a cummins, if an offroader, then keep the gas motor. Diesels are too heavy for offroading, especially mud. If you drive a "pavement princess" then you really could go either way. I'd keep the gas, only because a diesel is noisier, stinkier, and is more tempermental; meaning you don't just start it and shut it down a million times a day like you can a gas. Those turbo's don't really like shutting down when the oil is hot (if you know what I mean). Besides, a 1500 Hemi rides better than a HD Ram, with a cummins...... one last thought..... I bet the insurance is cheaper on the gas too!! Just my $.02
