Default inexpensive CAI, too good to be true?

Im looking to get a CAI for my truck and have shoped around and seen kits from 50-400 bucks, i saw this one on e bay and it looked descent to me, the thing i like about it is it goes straight to the throttle body and not to through the intake resanator, or whatever the hell its called. it comes with a K&N filter and all the items to put it together and a new vacuum hose assembly. the only reservation i had is that ive never heard of the company and the price was failry cheap, but how hard can it be to f*ck up chrome tubing and clamps, please let me know if anyone has heard of it or the company or has any input...

That looks interesting but difficult to see from the photo as to why it's a "full cold"....seems like the filter may still be un-shielded from hot air coming of the engine ? Otherwise I think your probably right, hard to mess up some tubing

why would you want it to go through the resonator? The point of an aftermarket is to get rid of that thing.

Not worth you time, go with a full CAI and you won't regret it.

i DONT want it to go to the resonator, im more than happy to take that thing off, it hooks right up to the throttole body. and it does look like its not shielded from engine heat, thats the only negative that i can tell, i already ordered a scoop to help help with air deflection, so the whole set up seems like it should work

I had that same question last week, I got some pretty good responses, if you want to do a search for the thread, it was called "Chrome Intake" Let me know what you get.

airram makes an excellent product. Get his scoop and the power wire. He posts regularly on Dodgetalk.com and everybody there swears by his stuff. Just dont spend your time with a volant or k&n, they're pretty, but you can get the same results for far less money.

The pipe looks rather small, what's the internal diameter, I have a home brew 3" that takes up a lot more room that that picture show. Might want to check with the seller on that.
