Mine was stolen in the parking lot of my job. Northeast Detroit (Jefferson north assembly plant, Jeep) It was stolen on Valentines day, what a great gift. [sm=boohoo.gif] They found it the next day in downtown Detroit, missing the 20" rims and the spare. They also took the radio and were so nice as to put the bezel back on. I guess these are real easy to steal, the ignition cylinder is so flimsy you tap it with a screwdriver and it falls out. They made entry by putting the same screwdriver under the drivers door handle and prying down. The police said that they have seen about 75 to 100 of them stolen in the last month. [sm=violent053.gif] I hope for their sake that I never catch em stealing my truck again.

Sometimes it's a real PITA to live out in BFE with my nearest neighbor about 5 acres away. Then I read stories like yours and suddenly it's not so bad. Sorry for your loss but maybe you will come out better in the long run.

well hte officer said that its GONE, meaning its most likly out of the country, gotta love mexico. and i accually live in tempe. In pheonix alone last year there were 58,000 cars stolen, and the 2004 dodge ram was #2 on the most stolen list. It sorta sucks, i cant get to work till i hear from the insurance people, i cant get to the bar which is even worse.

and to be honest i really hope i dont get it back, i rahter not have a car that someone else went offroading, beat the hell out of, or what ever they did to it. Plus its labeled as a stolen vehicle, so it screws me over as a trade in. Plus ive been looking at getting a srt-4 anyway. i need to feed my need for speed.

That truly sucks. I HATE thieves. They're worthless garbage. I say this cuz I had a sportbike stolen from me. 10k bike several years ago. I walk into Taco Bell, come out and it's gone. Cops call me a year later and they pulled my engine off another bike they picked up that was rebuilt with stolen crap.

Good luck on it.

my truck has stolen on it's history, it was stolen in Yuma AZ in july 05 and was well considered 'Gone" (paid off by the insurance) then it was found in Sonora MX in Sept 05. Damage: Missing seats, carpeting, door panels, alarm and all audio and DVD system. was hot wired from under the steering column where the alarm box was located. probably abandoned because a Blown and broken front right tire/rim. Wow sounds horrible huh... well she's as good a new now and always wears a Club and some other disabling tricks too maybe out smart the hot wiring theives. car alarms are trash... IMO.

Hm, only thing stolen from me was my exgirlfriend. I live up here in safe Minnesota about 20 minutes out of minneapolis. In the past ten years there has been 2 burgularies in my neighborhood. But everyone knows eveyone since we're a small town and near every car is in a garage. Got a security system in the sebring, works fine.
