How to get rid of front plate mounting brackets?
I'm sorta ticked my truck came with a front plate on it. I took it off, and theres two plastic screw mounts in the chrome front bumper. If I take them out, that leaves two holes where they were. Any ideas on how to get rid of the plastic peices? I don't really want to get a plate for it, but I don't want two holes there either. Is there some sort of chrome fill that would blend in so it wouldn't look like anything was there? Any ideas would help a ton, thanks!

It looks the same as my '05.
Just squeeze the plastic pieces together in the rear of the bumper and pull or pry them out the front (careful not to scratch the chrome if prying with a screwdriver or the like). After doing so, get a couple stainless steel button-head screws with shanks large enough to fill the holes (I don't recall what size at the moment), polish the heads with brown rouge on a buffing wheel to make chrome-like, and bolt in from the front.
Viola! It's dark out and the truck's dirty so the pic isn't too great, but you can get the idea.
P.S. There is no magic to fill the holes so that they won't show, other than dechroming, welding, finishing, and rechroming. Even I won't go to that much trouble on an everyday driver.

Does anyone know how to make it so the stupid license plate doesnt keep getting ripped off? I keep climing snow hills, and when I back off.. off comes the license plate. Almost every time. Damn it it's annoying.. lol
I found some bad *** all chrome bracket with a mirrored hemi logo plate. I might just go that way. All this because the dealer wanted their plate up front, sigh.
Keep the plate bracket, I found its a great way to avoid speeding tickets (see front pic in gallery). When I fly through a speed trap, the first thing the cop sees is a big Ram with a military filler plate. Works every time.
(I do not speed or condone speeding, dirve safe and obey the posted speed limit, etc etc)

Stillborn:
I don't know what the bracket looks like, but you might try mounting it upside down so that the tag is up from the bumper holes instead of hanging down from them.
Just a suggestion and one you might have already tried.
