My dad is wanting to buy one of those Tornado Fuel saver things for his '02 5.9L. Does anyone have one or know if they are worth the $30?

Does nothing. If he is serious look into getting a CAI if he does not already have one. With a cold air intake you may get a little mpg and hp.

Even those people say are a waste. I dont know. For sure, that tornado does not work. Search online and you will find out from reviews. I saw this same post in another site. They killed the poor bastard that asked it.

From everything I've read they are junk.....just save the $$$$ to pay for gas as opposed to flushing it for that trinket...

Here is a link to an article i read at popular mechanics website. It reviews 7 so called fuel savers. Most of them actually decrease your engines fuel efficiency rather than increasing it like they promote.

My Dad actual bought one for he and I. I already had the CAI kit on and adding this POS made my fuel efficiency worse. I took it out and made it into a paper weight for my desk as work. Thats about the only real purpose I have found it useful at doing.
