4x2 or 4x4 and why -

4X4 to me is the way to go if you live in the winter climate areas like I do (Utah). Also you don't lose money in the value and their easier to sell. I don't use the 4 wheel drive that much, but when you do need it pays for it self right there on the spot. Added insurance in the winter. The looks sure help too.

My truck is pretty sporty, and I like to go fast... Doesn't mean that it can't be 4x4 as well... The weight difference between 4x4 and 4x2 is only like 200lbs... And it depends what kind of race... What if it's -40 degrees and blizzarding? Who's going to get home faster... Me in my 4x4 or you in your 4x2???

I voted "4X2 and proud" only because that's what mine is. I got too good of a deal on the truck to pass it up and go for a 4x4. All of my other trucks have been 4x4's, my work truck is a Silverado 4x4 right now. I use my Ram mainly to haul our boat to the nearest lake (30 miles away) and on an occasional road trip to a bigger lake. No need for the 4WD with this one, but my next one will be a 4x4 as a "just in case" measure. As I said before though, the deal that I got on this truck was too good to pass and I'm actually kind of digging the Sporty look! It's new to me.

HEHE... I saw a 4x2 truck go down a boat-launch ramp once... It backed into the water until the rear tire was about 1/2 covered... Then when the boat was launched, and the truck tried to drive up the ramp with the empty boat trailer, it actually just floated back into the lake... The truck was almost completely submerged...
I'm not saying that this is going to happen to you... But it *COULD* and boy would it be nice to have 4x4 if you started slipping out to sea...
