Double check your diff fluid, trans fluid and transfercase intervals. On Fords, and all the cars we service at work, we don't check the differentials or transfercase until they're close to 100,000 miles. Transmission fluid is supposed to be changed every 30,000 miles. Well brake fluid is SUPPOSED to be changed once a year, it's hydroscoping... meaning it absorbs water from the atmosphere. They charge $53 at the ford dealership for a brake fluid flush. We charge $50 for a powersteering flush. And as far as the carbon on the throttle body, buy some throttle body spray $4.99 at a parts store. Clean it out yourself. Take the snorkel off the throttle body, and hold the butterfly open using spray, rags, and a small brush to clean it out. At 20,000 miles I recomend a full fuel injection cleaner. One goes in the tank, clean out the throttle body and then there is an IV drip that drips a concertration of cleaner into a vacuum line and then breaks down the carbon in the intake manifold and injectors before it mixes with the gas. It also cleans out the pistons, valves, catalytic converter, and O2 sensors. Mighty has a product called Step 3. That goes for about $50. Spark plugs are cheap. Iridium spark plugs run $11 a piece so that's $176. Iridium produces a more intense spark for a fuller burn and better fuel economy. Stealerships Dealer****s. aka something

$45,000???? Wow. It will take MANY, MANY trips to the service department to equal the difference between the price in Canada vs the price here.

I'm curious Rob, are the Cummins more or less expensive than the Hemis in Canada?

Pay the $400 or so for the plugs, you won't regret it. It is a
pretty cramped space to try and get into. Changing plugs
sounds like gravy but it's not fun on the hemi.

you do have a point, it is a bit cramped in spots, but atleast you dont have to take half the intake off like I did my old '87 nissan, and it also ran two plugs per cylinder for a 4 banger.

$45,000 at the time I bought my truck was approximately $35,000USD. So I paid about $5000USD more than you guys for my truck. I see most of you getting you trucks for around $30,000USD. My truck is fully loaded, SLT, leather, paint protection and undercoating to protect against our harsh and salty canadian winter roads... the whole nine yards... Most of you guys don't get snow or salt on the roads, so you don't need to pay extra for that stuff... The undercoating and stuff was about $1000, the leather package was another $3000, I can't remember what other options I got... But $45,000CAD or $35,000USD isn't bad for a fully loaded quad cab hemi... In my opinion.

To answer your question, the Cummins START about $60,000CAD
