Yea i understand this is a dodge forum but i just have to let this out,so my friend ans i were out cruiseing Woodward in Michigan in his 2003 ford lightning supercharged. we pull up to a ligh and theres a 2000 ish chevy impala 3.8. so wer run him, we took him by far thru 1st and 2nd, and out of no where this piece pile of a car blows us outta the water. i pull up next to him and im like what u runing. he says 3.8 turbo 20 pounds of boost. so im thinkinng 20 pounds of boost in a 3.8 would probably rip that motor up(consideing turbo diesels shouldnt push more than about 30) does anyone think he was actually telling the truth or do u think he was spraying?????? please give me some insight im still totaly impressed with that piece car . Oh yea he had like 3 inch exhaust too. haha

 

sounds very possible they usually run aftermarket headgaskets along with stronger head studs to keep it all together

 

Some of those 3.8's come supercharged from the factory, I wonder if he was running supercharger with remote mounted turbo... Who knows...

yup, the grand national is a wicked car for sure...probably one of the most exceptional cars ever made for a V6 turbo

 

I saw the car again and i took a look under the hood. hes got it all done upo by i think "livernois motorsports" if anyone is familier with them. its very clean and very professional job hes running low 12's. and yes the G/n is definitly a bada$$ car. "madman"
