what is the biggest size tires you can fit on 17' wheels on a 2005 dodge ram without having a lift kit?

This has been talked about in some other posts, I believe you can put 265/70/17 and that is a 33 inch tire

I got 295's, but I believe you can get up to 315

Best way to tell is to drive up a ramp and turn your wheel. Then get under there and measure yourself. I would never trust opinions on expensive tires unless I measured myself.

From my measurements I came up with a 35x12.5. A half inch more offset would help too.

 

I asked the same question about a week or two. There is a few people who are running 315/70/17's with no rubbing. Stock my 04 came with 265/70/17's.

 

I put 315 70r/17 BFG AT KO'S on my 05 2500 4X4 Quad Cab Long bed, HEMI WITH 17X8 AMERICAN RACING WHEELS AND I DID GET RUB IN THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN I TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. THE FIX WAS CHEAP AND EASY, I INSTALLED THE DAYSTAR TWO INCH LEVELERS, THEY RUN ABOUT $130.00 PLUS INSTALL WHICH I DID MYSELF.

 

You can get away with a 33" tall tire, 35" if you level out the front end.

 

I've been told 33" as well. I have 285/70/17 AT's on mine and they are fine, no rubbing at full turn.

 

Hey Grayghost, DO you or any one on here have a picture of a STOCK ram QC with some 265/70/17 tires, I have the stock 245/70/17s and I want to see what it looks like a tad bigger
