I keep all of my vehicles detailed except my wifes Jeep (I have enough to wash). Even in hunting season my truck gets pretty bad but I still like to wash it once a week. I found it is easier keeping it clean if I dont let the dirt and road grime build up too long.
I got top dollar on my last Ram I just traded in with 109k miles on it because it still looked new.

How does everyone else keep your truck??

 

I wash my truck every second day during the summer. My neighbor always comes outside and says "careful rob you're going to wash the paint right off" hahaha... In the wintertime, I was it maybe once a week, it's pretty pointless to wash in the winter time, depending on road conditions... If it's all slushy and muddy, it would be dirty 30 seconds after washing it... But if it's really cold and snowy out, with no mud or slush, then I'll wash it once a week to keep rocks and sand and whatnot away.

 

it all depends for me. im in the military, so my schedule gets all jacked up. i normally try to totally detail it once a week (takes about 8 hrs or so to do). but then i get deployments (which is where im at now) it goes 4 months without being washed, so im prolly lookin at a full weekend of cleaning my truck or what not... definitely a PITA! but i enjoy it good summer sun and a nice cold beer does wonders

 

Hmm, well it does not see salt or snow. Any maybe one or two rain showers a year. So all I wash off is dust. Always clean the wheel well liners and spray off underneath, clean the idside of the wheels and calipers during tire rotation.

 

What is this "wash" you speak of?
I haven't heard of this.

I've got an '06, and I don't really care if it does get dirty. I'll laser wash it if it's real dirty, other than that, it's a damn truck! It needs to get dirty sissy boys.

 

I need to find a place where I can get my truck looking like that!

I cleam my truck usually once a week me being a student i dont have time all the time but i try to do it cause i dont wanna hurt the paint and ruin it i still got 5 years left on the loan

 

Got top money for my last truck 'cause the engine compartment was super clean. No hidden oil leaks or split hoses. Kinda made up for the rust on the truck!
