Gotta have it, can't stand getting a farmer tan on my left arm only, plus maybe cancer imagine that only in one arm and your girl only on the other arm.

Here in Arkansas the legal limit is 35%. not very dark, at all...I have 15% on my Dakota sides and back, 5% on the back seat windows. I've been pulled over, but he didn't say anything about my tint. The only people around here that fuss over stuff like that are the state troopers.

its not the tint thats illegal, its the tint level, anything over 8% is illegal because it makes it difficult for the officer to see inside the vehicle
I dont know if you made a typo there but 8% is pretty much as dark as you can go. The smaller the number, the darker the tint. For instance, the stock windows on the QC are about 35% on the back glass. Limo tint is like 5% usually, two layers of it. It depends on the state for what is legal and what is not. In NJ you are not allowed to have anything on the front windows but you could literally spray paint your back glass black if you wanted to. In some states you can have whatever you want on any window. Anyone can argue that its stupid to make it illegal but there are pros and cons to both sides. Having it on your front windows can make it nicer to drive during the day because it blocks a lot of the sun from coming in, but at night it definitly makes it harder to see out due to the tint. For a cops perspective, its nice that they can see in your car while walking up to you if your windows are up so they don't get any surprises when they get there.
