Mobil 1 Oil Change Interval
I just changed my Mobil 1 Synth this weekend after 6600 miles. Looked like it could have gone another 1000. I'll probably stick to 6000, unless my driving habits change. I get on it quite a bit, I live 12 minutes from where I work, and about once a month take the 500 mile roadtrips.
I have an 04 QC 2wd. I run on Mobil 1 and change oil every 6000 miles. I change my oil filter every 3000 and add 1 quart.

If you are going to change your oil to synthetic blend, the best time to change it would be anywhere between 10 and 15,000 miles, to ensure that all the parts are worn where they should be, although 7000 miles seems like alot its really not for a brand new engine. so i woudl reccomend changing your oil after 10,000 miles
There is no doubt in my mind that Mobil 1 is one of the best if not the best oil on the market.
I quit using it because I saw no increase in fuel milage and it's $5 a quart. And I don't feel comfortable going more than 3K on a oil change, no matter how good it is it still gets dirty.
I went back to Castrol GTX 5-w30. I put 143K on a 91 Ford Probe 4 cyl and never used a drop between changes with Castrol

I personally like to use Mobil 1 and change at 5k along with a Wix 51515 filter.

You might want to check with your dealer about warrenty considerations, I just stick with the 3000 mile change program to make warrenty issues non-existant.
