Sad truck story...
I don't feel like retyping this so I'm quoting myself from another forum. I'm too upset anyway.

So everyone should have saw me at A&W lastnight (without the HEMI). Don and Andrew dropped my truck earlier that day. So I was at 7Eleven picking up some stuff. I go inside, get my stuff and go back to my truck. I start it up put it in reverse, back out, put it in drive...then I hear a sound that now words can describe (but I'll try away)...like this Crackleleleleee Ka blahhahahahahahaa chinklelelelelelele. My dad was standing outside the truck when this happened and started screaming "Turn off the truck!" That's what really scared me...(anytime someone starts screaming in a panic, it scares the **** out of me). So my heart drops down into my stomach. I put the truck in park, turn it off and get out. I look under the truck and the end of my drive-shaft is sitting on the pavement. My dad says..."Well it looks like your U-Joint is snapped." Ok no biggie! Wrong! I get my truck towed to Chrysler, so Andrew can take a look. This is what we can see so far.

Andrew says the saddle that sits on top of the axle, the weld broke (refer to pic #3). That's all we can see so far. It only took them an hour to drop it, so I'm thinking maybe they missed something or something didn't get tighten properly. idk! I trust them, and know they will do the right thing to geter done! I really appreciate everything they done so far. I guess Dodge just f**ked up when they put my truck together.
And here is how AWESOME it looks dropped...keep in mind only the back is done. It's gonna be "off the chain" when it's finished. So does anybody even have an opinion as to what could have happened?

The U-joint is getting fixed towmorrow under the 3/36,000 warranty!(YES!!!) I just found out one of the guys in my car club has a welder and he used to work on mini trucks...he said he'd be more than happy to give me a hand!(Oh hellz yeah!!!) So, now all I have to worry about is getting the front dropped. Seems like everything is going to work out! (Knock on VERY big piece of wood!)
EDIT: It really helps knowing guys at the dealership! Priceless!!!

It is possible the lowering of the rear of the truck caused the break. It changes the riding angle of the shaft to the rear. I would say you are lucky the dealer did not bitch about that, you are right it is good to know people.

It is very likely that this did in fact cause the problem. Typically, when you lower a vehicle, you do both the front/rear at the same time. This allows the vehicle to main a balance. Since you lowered only the rear, you most likely offset something.
Since I showed you what your truck looked like lowered, I already knew it would look pimp. Nice work, and definitely cant wait to see the finished product. Now all it needs is some black wheels with a chrome lip.

It's what I'm putting on my car....and its what I would put on that truck if it was mine. To be really honest, with that color blue, I'd have them color matched with the chrome lip. Black would indeed be a close second. Gun metal wouldnt look bad either....but I'm partial to the black/color matched. 18-20" in black....
