Default Diesel ET's

Anybody ever run or seen a Cummins run a 1/4 mi? Was just wondering how they run. I know they are built for pulling, but I heard they are pretty impressive with speed too. I have a 2004 1500 Hemi Sport 4X4 with 3.92's and 20" wheels. Never ran an ET, but I measured out a 1/4 mi, and beat a 2003 Chevy 2500 series 4X4 6.0 with 4.11 gears by about 4 or so trucklengths. Turned 1/2 the people around here (who never shut up about the so-called almighty 6.0 Chevy) into Dodge lovers.

Stock, you're looking at 18+ sec 1/4 mile times, depending on transmission (auto are faster for drag racing). With light modifications (less than a $800 and no wrench turning), the trucks get into the 15's.
Ugotit, what bullydog package do you sell and what year truck is running 13's on it? From what I've been learning, the 3rd Gen CTD's can't make much more than 400hp on the stock fuel pump. I only mention that because if you have a kit to get me near the 13's, PM me.

*body style, transmission, drivetrain (2wd/4wd), height, tire size, and gearing all create too many variables, but these numbers are conservative numbers, I saw a stock 06 PowerStroke running just one plug in module hit the low 14's on Powerblock so anything is possible*

Good video, too bad its a Ford truck, then it would be a great video ([sm=joke.gif] I love anything with a motor that goes fast)

Drew: you know, I just accepted that I won't be flying down the track in my truck, you come in talking about breaking into the 6's! Now I need to go and buy an old 12 valve for racing..... you sir are the devil [sm=badbadbad.gif]

I like deisals with a simple computer chip you can add around 100HP. Here is a nice little video of a cummins QC running a 8.6 in the 1/8mile which is around the high 13's in the 1/4mile. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...2E26B1F23F.htm
