Default Leather interior install

Just ordered OEM type leather covers that replace the cloth. My question is has anyone installed a set? I am probably going to have it done but curious if anyone has done it and how it turned out and how hard it was.

If anyone is interested

They have a quad set as well.

I went with the solid dark graphite.

Someone did a similar set a while back.. Turned out really nice. Just do a search and I'm sure you can find it.

I bought a set from beckcrew at ebay for $400 last week. Beck Dodge is a dealer in Florida. The covers are OEM dark slate, with grey
inserts, and Ram logos on the front seatbacks. Just like you would get if you paid the $1000 to get the leather seat cover option new from the dealer.
The install is time consuming on the front and back seats. The front headrests fit so tight that I can't believe I got 'em on without tearing them! The center console cover and backrest are tricky. I have yet to tackle the backrest on the middle front seat. You might want to do the seats and get the pros to do the console/middle front seat. My pics are too large to embed here so maybe I'll go out and take some lower res. pics. later and add them to this post.
Cheers
Mike

If you are considering this I made a few calls to local places (Toledo, OH area) to do the install. They cheapest I found was $300. They are a custom shop and I have seen their work, nice stuff. The range I got was $300-$450. This was with me removing the seats and taking the seats to them.

Bottom line with the covers and a pro install figure $600-$700 unless you know someone.

As long as my covers get here when they are suppose to I will have them in next week with pics.

I have recently installed these on my ram quad cab.The hardest thing was the center console. The headrest seem like they won't fit but they will use a hair dryer this helps out big time makes the headrest covers easy to work with. You should also remove the seat backs with a star wrench this makes it easier getting the covers on . Good luck!

Here's a link from my post on the forum last year. I had the dealer install a katzkin leather interior. Very nice.

Damn, those things look good. Too bad the Laramie Rams don't already have seats like that.

Nice link for the quad seats, that happens to be my auction. Wierd?!?[sm=happybounce.gif]

I haven't gotten yet, was told they'd be completed sometime next week.
W/tax and shipping they came out to less than 500.00. Can't wait to get them![8D]
