I have an 05` Ram with the hemi and i was looking into cutting the mufflers off and just running straight pipes with 4inch tips. All my friends have their trucks that way and they sound great. But i was wondering if u lose any power when you do that and if u do is their any modifications to get it back? please help me!!!

I wouldn't do it. First of all because it is illegal and cops can notice it very easily. It will probably screw up your backpressure. You will also probably lose some low end torque. The sound is also going to suck if you go on a long trip. A friend of mine and I were doing some rock crawling in his early model ram truck and a rock smashed and clamped of the exhaust pipe before it entered the muffler. We sawed off the muffler and had to drive back to town (a 2 hour trip) with straight pipes. All I can say is that I wish I had some ear plugs. It sucked.

Apprecaite the input...After looking at Magnaflow and Flowmaster's webites, I'm going w/ the 50-Seris (which Flowmaster suggests) w/ a single in dual out. for around $250 exiting behind R-rear tire including tips.
