I have an 05 Hemi Ram, right at 3000 miles. I have a Superchip, K&N Cold Air intake and Magnaflow dual exhaust. I started noticing that it stalls out on occassion when doing stop n go driving. I changed the rev limiter when i installed the Superchip to 6000 and maxed the speed limiter, also run 93 Octane. Called the service dept at my dealer, and they said they have not heard of anything that would cause this. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

 

Superchips told me to update the software on my Flashpaq, and download it...will let u guys know how that works out in case any1 else has this issue.

 

Downloaded software, reinstalled the chip. Stalled when I stopped at the 2nd red light in town today...am at a loss. Any1 help or suggestions would be appreciated. It does not do it all the time, it is intermittent. The dealer said to bring it in, but I am sure it will not do it when in the shop, so they will tell me nothing is wrong.

 

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM[:@].. I'VE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER WITH CLUELESS ANSWERS.. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY TRUCK.. I'M SURE THIS IS A PROBLEM OTHERS HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED AND FOR THE DEALER TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM IS NOT RIGHT.. ANYWAYS GOOD LUCK ON YOUR STALLING ISSUES.. KEEP ME UPDATED IF YOU FIND THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM..

 

I set it to stock, then reprogarmmed it with all power off (ie radioa, air, and windows down(read this on anther forum)) so far drove it in today no stalls. Also a friend of mine said that lower octane gas, and SHELL gas caused his jeep to stall. Will keep you posted, but no stalls on the way in today.

 

MY TRUCK JUST DIED WHEN I SHIFTED TO PARK.. I'VE NOTICED THAT WHEN I'M GONING THROUGH STOP AND GO TRAFFIC MY TRUCK SEEMS LIKE IT JUST WANTS TO TURN OFF.. NOT SURE WHATS GOING ON.. IM GONNA TRY AND SET MY TRUCK BACK TO STOCK AND SEE IF THAT HELPS.. MY TRUCK RUNS A LOT STRONGER WITH MY SUPERCHIP, BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE TROUBLE AT IDLE.. NOT SURE WHATS GOING ON.. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT..

 

OK,, latest update. Have all the latest Flashpaq updates, truck never stalled, but at low idle seems to want to. The yesterday it satlled twie on me; once in traffic, and the other time when I shifted to park. Calling Superchips on Thur or Friday to see what they say. Only does it in performance mode, stock is fine.

 

Wow, I thought I was the only one to have this problem. I too have the superchip on my 2005 Hemi, and it stalls in the same manner as yours does. I first noticed the stalling right after I installed the chip. Let me know if you hear anything.

 

Well I see I am not the only one having this problem. My 05 2500 has 33k miles on it and I have had it since it was new in Nov. 04 and I have had this problem ever since I got the truck. The only thing I have done so far is a K&N FIPK installed, no exhaust or chip yet or anything else. The problem only existed for a long time when I would put the truck in reverse such as going to park and I reverse to square up the truck to park and it would stall but only on occasion would it stall. Lately I have noticed it is doing it more now when just sitting at lights at idle. I have mentioned this to the dealer and they claim they can not find any problems with it.

Same problems here. 05 Hemi with Flowmaster exhaust and Superchips. I've kinda just learned to live with it, but if anyone can get this figured out I'd love to hear it. Mine usually only does it when I have it set at performance mode. Otherwise it's OK.
