Kidding.
That in no way makes me feel any better when oil companies are making billions. Let me say that again Billions! How about another, Billions! Did I mention Billions! Oh, I did. Ok.
Here in the Great White North we're paying $1.04 a liter for regular(1.09 for mid-grade) Convert to a US gallon, and now we're at $3.93 US. Add in the exchange rate and it's between $4.52-$4.72 CAD a gallon. The gas prices here start a daily ritual: high in the morning then slowly creep down in the evening only to repeat itself again. What a deal! We've tried boycotting stations, not buying gas for a day and a radio station even tried promoting a $6.21 buy!( the 6th and 21st letters of the alphabet) Had to put a locking gas cap on my truck!

sign up for one of the many gas cards. I have a race trac card. 10% for the first 60 days on race trac purchases and 2% on all others. Hess has a really good card, but I don't pass one.
Oh, and the oil companies need more profit than the 10 billion they had made during the hurricane quarter. I read an article the other day that there is a surplus of oil but the companies just are not refining it. I guess we will learn how to conserve no matter how much the oil companies make.

Salt Lake City, Utah $2.21 for Reg (85 Octane) and 2.29 for Mid (87 Oct). We have our own pipe line and refineries that help keep the prices down, but still too much to pay them Arabs and fat cat oil companies. Better buy stock in a shoe company. LOL
I'm down in Alabama and we're getting prices for 89 at about $2.90. When I bought the truck, gas was $1.75 and I even budgeted for an increase to $2.00, which, at the time I thought was ludacris. This gas is gonna kill me.
If you want to know the general price of gas in your area. Use this site. http://www.gasbuddy.com Click on your state, and just enter your zip code. It will then bring up a list of gas stations with prices and locations. It's helped me, even if it does save me 5-10 cents per fill up (Sometimes more depending on gas increases / decreases), but I suppose it does add up in the end. I'm located in Indiana, and I do believe that the ethonel comes from plants here in my state so I don't have to pay as much. At last check gas was at 2.74 for 87 octane. That's regular here
