Default Window tint

Does anyone know the % of how deep the rear two windows on a QC are? I am looking to get them tinted all around the same % and like the way the rear is done. Anyone ever done something similar? How'd it come out?

Chris

P.S. Anyone have any idea what the legal limit is in NYS?

Chris

I believe they are 20% Most tint places will make you sign a disclaimer if you are going to match because 20% is illegal in most states on the front windows. Here in Florida we can get away with it because of the intense son but sometimes the coppers can break chops and break out the tint meter and give a ticket.

It's actually listed on the glass. It is with the little print and certification. I think it is around 20% as stated.

Hockeynut52, where in FL are you. I'm in Pembroke Pines and I've never had a problem with my tint, either (it matches the back).

Here it is, and sorry to be off topic...

i had the dealership tint the front to match the back when i got it... 20% all around. Looks real nice, but im gonna go with MIKE JONES tint (5% tint...so you cant see up in my window!) l I might get pulled over a few times (espically here in Daytona) but i figure a non-moving violation of $30 or so is worth the look of the DARK black tint IMO...

I am in Ft. Lauderdale OSTEO. I have gone up by the beach and when the cops want to break chops on the kids with the ricers, they bust out the tint meter. usually around quota time and when they want to clean out the beach for toursits. Osteo. you should come out to the Tower Shoppes on Friday nights. I am a member of the Florida Chapter of Dodgetruckworld. We have about 10 spots reserved there. All Dodge Ram guys. It has been really good turnouts lately. Come on Down.

I got mine tinted as close as possible, just a couple % difference.

I have had front windows in other vehicles tinted also and have never had a problem here in Missouri, or anywhere else...

Must be the cops looking for a reason to hassle kids that appear to be doing nothing wrong, who normally have drugs and/or alcohol.
