I have NGK Iridiums with no issues so far. Iridium as a material is harder and stronger than Platinum. The melting point is also much higher. I have attached a graph.

Temp and gap is important on selection of plugs. (eg. if you use NOS want them colder)

Changing to a new plug will increase gas mileage a few percent but nothing too drastic, as long as it is the correct plug.

Hey there, I just installed the Taylor 8mm wires on my 05 Hemi. I was wondering what type of spark plugs to use. Is there really one that is better than another?

After hearing all this about the fun with wires and the mess they cause, I'm glad there are none in the 06 and up Hemi's. [8D]
