MY LAST POST OF GAS PRICES IN LOS ANGELES ABOUT A WEEK AGO WAS $3.30 (CHEVRON 91 OCTANE).. NOW IT'S $3.50!!! WTF!!! .20 IN A WEEK!!! IT'S LOOKING LIKE IT'S GONNA BE $4.00 SOONER THEN I THOUGHT.. SUMMER GAS PRICES ARE GONNA BE HORRIBLE.. JUST WANTED TO KNOW EVERYONE ELSES GAS PRICES AND IF THEY ARE RISING AS FAST AS THE GAS PRICES IN L.A.??

 

Mine is $2.72 for regular or mid-grade with 10% Ethanol in nothwester MO area (close to Kansas City). The highest I've seen is for 93 octane is $2.90. Why are you filling 91 octane in your HEMI when the manufacturer only recommends using 89 octane? Your wasting your money man!

 

Here in Detroit, Mi its 2.85 for regular unleaded but I use Super 93 octane and its 2.99 a gallon. I figure whats a cuple extra bucks for better performance. [sm=gears.gif]

 

2.93 here in northern lower michigan (89 octane), really does suck. Alot of people at my work dont like at all. The gas prices are just getting rediculus, a guy at work just bought one of those scooter things ( I think its a yamaha, goes about 70 i think, and gets from what he said almost 98 MPG), but he said there getting very hard to get (more being bought then built). Soon we're going to be like europe, driving around in little 1-2 people "things"

 

it is $3.05 a gallon here in Phoenix for 89 octane. The news was saying it is supposed to get up to $3.50-3.60 during the summer.

 

89 octane is $3.09 to $3.13 in my city upstate NY, and I can just imagine what it's like in bigger cities in NY. We went to Myrtle Beach last week on vacation and gas rose about $.20 in 2 days at one gas station. These prices are ridiculous.

 

It fluxuates here from 2.90-3.05 for mid-grade. I wish that it would go back to $1.50 a gallon. I found a receipt in my truck last week where i paid $2.08 for 8 gallons i wish that i could have paid that now. It's sad, at the time i thought it was too expensive. That was over a year ago!!!

 

Thhe guys and I were talking about this on the flightline today. Aviation gas is cheaper than automotive now. Granted we have burn rates of 500 lbs/hr.

One of the guys brought up "bio-diesel". Is there an alternative for gas yet?

 

In my opinion, Bio-Diesel sucks. You get worse MPG, and you dont get as much power out of your engine.

PS i bought my truck back in october when it was $2.99 a gallon reg, so basically, it has only gone DOWN from when i still bought it but not for long the way these prises are going [:@]
