Default dodge rams are lemons

i had a 2004 dodge 1500 sport with the HEMi,,, the truck had alot of power,, to bad it was in the shop more than i was able to drive it. I live in Clovis NM and i purchased my RAM from BENDER!!! Boy was that a huge mistake. I had my tuck in the shop 17 times and i only owned the truck for 18 months
the only problem with the new mexico lemon law is it has to be in there 4 times for the same problem within the first year of owning the vehicle. the last 4 times it was in the shop was for the rear end. after they had the truck for 2 1/2 weeks, then 1 1/2 weeks, then another 2 weeks and couldnt correct the problem i couldnt deal with it anymore and traded it in. I had problems with the CRUISE CONTROL twice, once for brake switch the second fort he wiring harnes, WINDOW MOTOR, AIRCONDITIONER compressor went out , it took them two times to verify this problem, BAD FUEL INJECTOR, RATTLING NOISE IN THE DASH, ( 4 TIMES), FRONT END VIBRATION i had it in there 3 times for this and they finally changed the ( RACK AND PINION)< they had to replace the stereo TWICE,,, then they tried to tell me that i wouldnt play burned CD's, (REALLY) well the second one they put in worked just fine,,, also the FUEL GAUGE QUIT WORKING (bad sending unit) ,,and last but not least the rear end. DO NOT BUY DODGE, they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me out!!!!!!! NEITHER DID the BENDER DEALERSHIP!!!

I've got a very similar story about Volkeswagen. However, I traded in the Jetta on my Ram, and have been trouble-free and happy ever since! Sorry you got a bad apple, man.

Yeah, sorry about your trouble, but why post in a Dodge Ram fan forum?

Oh let him vent. Sounds like it's a worth while frustration. Almost sounds like that was a flood vehicle or something. I hate to hear of all those problems, unfortunately it happens to every auto maker. Good luck with your new endeavors.

Sorry you had so many problems with your vehicle. I've got a similar story about Ford, if you care to hear about it, let me know.

My truck has been rather trouble free. The most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned, in fact.

sorry bout your troubles.

My truck has been rock solid. Only problem was the guy who owned it before me putting water in the windshield wiper fluid reservoir, and breaking the rear window and leaving the glass in the door.

I would be frustrated too. I'm sure I can't convince you but not every Ram is like that. Hope you got something better for you now.

Sorry About your problems.... But...... just because you have had all these problems with YOUR truck, doesn't mean all Dodge Rams suck. That would be like saying YOUR girlfriend's a bitch, so all women are bitches.

I agree I have had my Ram going on 6 months now and no issues.
I guess it all depends how you drive it or beat on it, or better yet the person who owned it last.

I personally love these ram trucks intensely so.
Sure they gas but that's life!

All in all I could not be happier with my first ram truck. The experience has been so good, I will be buying another Dodge vehicle by the end of the summer!
I am sorry to hear that your truck gave you such headaches!

Sorry to hear about your experience with your 2004 RAM. Sorry even more that it could not be corrected. I too had a lemon law story about Toy-crap-ota pickup, but I vented that here already in other threads. Chrysler has committed to losing the poor quality cloud that it made for itself back in the 80's and 90's. I purchased my first Dodge RAM in 95, and have not owned anything but Chrysler since. Each new vehicle I have bought, has actually improved in quality over the previous. And I guess my dealer is pretty good as well, because they have always been able to fix whatever I brought in, and in a timely manner.

It is truly unfortunate that so many things have gone wrong with your RAM.
