RE: 2006 Ram Fog Lights
problly have to get inside the dash and rewire somehow...i personally would just leave it be as the fog lights dont really produce that much brightness just better visibility in heavy fog and the highbeams are for the heavy darkness of course and even if you were driving in heavy fog on a pitch black night both of them together wouldnt make that big of a difference IMO. i have experimented with my fog lights and found that no matter how heavy the fog they never really seem to help any at all. i still use them tho because i just hate to have an option on my truck that goes to waste. lol

Um... Okay, first of all... The foglights add a TON of light while driving at night time, I cannot imagine driving without my fog lights... Secondly, the RAM is already set up to shut off the fog lamps as soon as you turn on your high beams... In fact, there was a modification posted months ago, how to run a small piece of speaker wire from your fog lamp relay so that you could specifically keep your fog lamps on, even when the highs were on... Awesome mod.

I would agree, fog lights are very bright. Everytime I am out of the city, I use them. In the city with other city lights it's not that big of deal. I know there is a way. I own a 06 and I have fog lights added by the dealer after the facotry. I'm not sure how or what they did, but my fog lights stay on high or low beam it doesn't matter.

RE: '06 Ram Fog Lights bypass?
Fog lights have 2 purposes:
1. To improve your lighting closer to the vehicle (widens)
2. To help others see you.
2 reasons they turn off when brights are on:
1. you can overload circuit if you leave them both on to long.
2. If you are in the fog brights are almost useless as they make your vision even worse.
