Supercharger

There we go.

Thats probably the thing you want toget if you want major performance. I bet you might be able to see 14's with a few more bolt-ons. Get a K&N CAI, and a programmer when they come out with one. Exhaust too!

I know next to nothing about truck performance except from what i have read on here. But other posts have come up with 4.7 owners that love there truck but want the "hemi" engine. so when they asked if they can switch it, the repsonce tends to be "yes but you will be buying alot more than just an engine to swap out, you will need to change out alot of other things in your truck for the 5.7 to work properly" what the other things are i dont know, and even if i know the names, i wouldnt know what they are or what they do[]

About the supercharger... same with above, most say that if you have a stock engine and throw a supercharger on it, it wouldnt be very good (for the engine not for the power), you would need other modes to prepare you for the supercharger so the it will be able to performe at its peak without hurting your engine... things such as (im assuming) headers, cams, exhaust, intake and some other things.

I know out of those 2 paragraphs i told you absolutly nothing to help you or answer your question, but if someone could go into more detail on what i have already laid down as groundwork for your answer, you will be pretty pleased

PS if this doesnt come up, click on the strippermotorsports banner on the right, click on dodge ram 1500, and go down to the SECOND supercharge section under paxton it will have a 4.7L with some sick increases in HP/TQ for about 4,500[].

I too have an 04 4.7. I have a single in dual out exhaust; K&N FIPK (not a cold air intake; the Fuel Injection Performance Kit is one of the best intakes on the market for a v8 truck) and a jet performance stage 2 performance module. Youre not going to find a programmer for a 4.7L. Believe me ive talked to all of the company's and nobody has any plans what so ever to make a programmer. there is simply NO demand for them. but the stage 2 chip from JET adds about 20-25 horsepower at the wheels if you have a good intake and exhaust. There is one supercharger kit made for our engines but ive only seen it once and it was about $6,500. you'll have to do some searching. a 180 degree thermostat is a must with the jet chip but i have been unsuccessfull in my search for one so far. I called Summit racing and got a name and number of a company that makes thermostats but have not had time to call yet::Robert Shaw Controls--1-423-544-5157. I am also looking for a mild cam but im not sure what the results will be on that yet as i have not done much searching. Gibson is the only company that I have found who makes headers for 4.7's. That's about as far as it goes right now. All in all we got f****ed by buying a 4.7L. You might want to watch my post on 4.7L gears; im trying to find out what gears would be best for street/everyday driving. hope i was of some help.
