What happens if I take a stock 2004 1500 hemi and just remove the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe? Will it be loud? Will it help the HP? Will it help the torque? If it isn't going to be real loud, I'd like to try it. Anyone else tried that? I can't afford a major exhaust mod right now.
it'll be like 20-30% louder but it won't gain you anything if that's what you're asking.
i personally like the side exit in front of the rear tire..
mine is currently dumped after the muffler.. it is a single in dual out 3inch in 2.5inch dual out.

Remove your MUFFLER and install a straight pipe.... Leave your resonator in place and call it your NEW MUFFLER.

Then replace your stock "Y" pipe with a High Flow "Y" Pipe and you will be well on your way to GREAT performance for a fraction of the price.
