Default got my truck tonight

myy shes a beauty!! Finally drove my truck for the first time home today, and boy does it sound mean even with the stock exhaust. It has a few neat aftermarket things in it too like a sirius radio, window tinting, and an alarm system that i have yet to find out how to work, already accidentally set off the alarm at 11:15pm lol whoops. I'll have to read the manual tomorrow. Oyyea, and anybody with a sirius radio in there ram...when u have the radio thats seperate from the car stereo...is there a seperate box that it plugs into or do all the wires feed directly to the jack, either way when i turn it on it says antenna not connected. I'll also have to figgure that out when i can see what i am doing.

well i fixed my alarm system, turns out there was a button under the dash to disengage the valet mode. Does anybody know about the audivox alarm/remote start systems? because my remote start is effed up. It starts the truck then it shuts off like right after it starts, then trys to restart itself like 5 times. I got a new antenna for my sirius radio...50$ later...it works, turns out the original owner of the truck never shut off the service, unless he paid for like a few year plan, so i have free satellite radio untill it stops working! haha.

I too just purchased a used 02 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab Sport. Back w/20" rims, 5 speed manual trans, Grey Leather, 52,000 Miles. NICE! The truck was just traded in at the lot I purchased it from so they didn’t have time to detail it. I'll be spending time this weekend buffing and polishing it to remove the swirl marks on the Black paint. The rims are a bit oxidizes as well. Anyone know of a good rim polish to clean these up? The Sound system has the infinity system with cassette and cd. The door sub speakers are rattling bad when I turn up the sound so I'll be replacing those too soon. I’m finding conflicting information on the front door speakers. Crutchfield says it's a 6X9. But I’m still not convinced. I haven’t pulled off the door interior cover yet but looking threw the speaker grill it looks to be a round 6 1/2 speaker. I found this 6 1/2 sub speaker cheep ( http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...TOKEN=16249296 ). I'll post pictures of her after I get it all polished up.

Well, seeing is truly believing… I took off the interior door covers and there it was. a 6x9. Now have to shop around more for the correct size. I may end up getting these Pyle speakers ( http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=267-727 ). I know I won’t be able to utilize the crossover speakers because only a sub signal is going to the speaker but I can’t seem to find any 6 x 9 subs.

for your remote start is it only stalling with the ac or defroster on if so it may need a jumper to the tach mine did that last year when it got warm out and i turned the ac on it would stall then restart then stall ect, it was that the voltage was too low.

what year is the truck? If you have the keys with the chip in them, the remote start may not work with it. My 04 Ram has the chipped keys. So just any remote start won't work with it. D'oh!
