I own a 03 dodge ram 1500 w/ the 5.7L hemi. While serving in Iraq in 2004, I bought a superchips programmer on-line. Several months ago I had some problems with my truck so I took it to the dealer and they ended up replacing the CPU before I could set it back to stock and now I'm locked out of my superchips. Since I bought it on-line in Iraq, I can't remember where I bought it from to get a receipt. Also I heard Superchips Co won't accept a receipt from an on-line dealer anyway. Does anyone have a solution for me, or am I just screwed? Is there any way to unlock it myself? Any help is much appreciated.

 

I hate to say it you might be screwed. without the origional programming that came with the superchips I doubt there is a way to get the info back unless you send it to superchips to have it reset.

 

Someone told me it if it was VIN locked, you can ask them (for a fee) to fix it. Don't quote me on that though...

I talked with the Superchips Co. today and with a receipt it will cost $87 to unlock it, and without a receipt it will cost $212. That really bites!

 

Well....$212 versus $400+ for a new one.....

 

should've done it right the first time.
