the 4.7 is a really nice engine nothing like the 5.7 hemi but for its size it does pretty good i can still put the ricers in their places most of the times. but as far a gas mileage its okay i do 60 miles a day back and fourth to and from the airport and it will usually use about 1/8 of a tank on the high way depending on my foot that day. but the dodges look awesome man i agree and i wouldn't want anything else

Sounds like you need to go with a 4.7 Ram. They basically get the same gas mileage as the V-6, but with more power. Get the 4.7, you wont regret it.

5.7 = great power & towing capacity, but in my 2003 (which doesn't have MDS) I get about 300 miles to my 28 gal tank

I can answer your question easy...the gas mileage sucks!

Take it from someone who's had a 2004 Ram QC with a HEMI and now owns a 2006 Ram QC with the MDS HEMI, they both sucked! Hell I think my 2004 had better mileage than my 2006. I'm currently averaging 13.7 mpg and I'm very light footed.

You can't believe that lying P.O.S. computer on the overhead, it lies! I keep a log of every fill-up and now I wish I had bought a car or something with better mileage. I drive 38 miles and day to work and back and you know what that costs? Try $10.00 a day just to work and back. And like the others have stated, I get around 300 miles a tank and that was on both trucks.

Also in regards to what Eltupac said, these trucks are the most high-maintenance vehicles I've ever owned. My advise to anyone wanting a Ram is to read the vehicle maintenance intervals manual in the glove compartment. These trucks need to have everything replaced, flushed, etc on a much higher cycle than Chevy or Ford.

If you want something with good gas mileage stay away from these trucks because they will suck you dry. I’m very disappointed with my 2006, wish I had kept the 2004.

H.H.
