Default Picture of my new lifted Mega Cab

Just purchased a new Mega Cab 1500 two weeks ago and had a 4 1/2 lift installed with 33's and Eagle alloy wheels. I could have installed larger tires but don't want to rob too much power from the Hemi. Been reading a lot on this forum as a new member and I'm really looking for some performance upgrades to gain torque. Coming from an '03 HO Cummins I need more torque. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Exhaust, chip, etc.

These hemi's run pretty good from the factory. I havent heard of any real add-ons that help a lot, other than NOS or a SuperCharger. I know a lot of the exhaust/cai setups have been kind of back and forth on any gains/losses as far as torque or HP.

Could you take a couple of pics of the front end? I am curious about the lift on the IFS front end, I am assuming that the 1500 megacab has IFS like my 05 does.

If the 1500 megacab has Live Axel I am heading to the dealer this PM. lol.

Phatboy knows nothing. Go with the Air Ram CAI and a nice exhaust (Flowmaster, Borla, Magnaflow etc) and a Superchips. That will make your truck a beast and a half and even give you some gas mileage! Congrats on the truck, I'm not much of a fan for lifted trucks but I like yours so congrats.

Okay, show me some proof that these upgrades add HP, or torque. The superchips, yea, but CAI and Exhaust? Why dont you suggest a Throttle Body Spacer too? <EDIT> and not Seat Of Pants HP either. Something with Dyno slips, not "The throttle had more response after CAI/Exhaust upgrade" <EDIT>

And the fact that you said "That will make your truck a beast and a half and even give you some gas mileage! " is pretty funny too. So they will add HP and increase Fuel Economy?

Love the lift - the tires do look like they could use a little more meat

nice truck

------------------

Im popping my rams cherry tommorrow and putting a super 40 dual exhaust on it (want it to sound as mean as it looks)

Also in the market for a leveling kit -

Next would be the CAI -
then the tonneau, nerf bars and window tint.

All megacabs have a solid front axle. In fact it's the same exact frame as the 2500/3500 quad cab long box. There's too much weight on that truck to have IFS.

Well. I think I know what I want for Christmas then.

Is the tow rating higher than the 8900LBS the 05 is at?

Yer truck is rated for 8900? My 06 quad cab is only rated for 8500. You can find out the weight ratings at dodge.com/towing, I just did a quick run through of a 1500 SLT megacab, it came out at 8510 for towing capacity.
