Picture of my new lifted Mega Cab
NCGUY - Basically all the Timbren SES does is replace the stock bumpstop with a very large rubber bushing, well two per side actually. It is adjustable. Instead of the weight being applied to the spring, and then to the axle, it is applied to the axle directly. It has the same effect as the 'air bags' setup some other trucks have. I towed my camper from Augusta to Myrtle Beach on the Friday before Memorial Day. The truck pulled fine, however the back of the pickup sat lower than I liked. Using the overload system associated with the hitch I was using the 4th link from the end per side. This helps lift the weight off the tongue and 'distribute' the weight. I picked up the SES from a dealer in Florence on Wednesday. I put them on in about 15 minutes. Pulling the camper back on Sunday(a week later) I noticed first that I only used the down to the second link on the distribution bars. Sweet. Also, Im not sure if you are familiar with I-20, but it needs re-paving real bad. The truck didnt have much 'bounce' to it. Like crossing bridges and the truck wants to bounce up and down for about 500 yds down the road. I am very happy with the kit.
If you dont use the extra bushings, it has no effect on non-towing ride. I will try and get some pics at lunch and post.
