Yep.

Sit in seat.
Put key in ignition.... Buckle belt.

Get ready to unbuckle and buckle the belt in rapid fashion.

Start motor.

Unbuckle and rebuckle as fast as you can about 4 times, finishing with it buckled... in 10 seconds or less, then reach up and turn off the motor.

You'll hear a single "DING" if you did it right.

The belt-nagg alarm is now disabled.... Unfortunately, the red lamp will remain on the dash, but at least the friggin' bell stops ringing.

2 to 5 miles 29 percent
6 to 10 miles 17 percent

I was less than a mile from home when this happened! Not to preach but your better off WEARING your seatbelt!

Just wanted to add that I was wearing my seatbelt, the airbag did not go off, and all this damage happened in a 30mph impact with a Ford F150.

I disabled mine just because I load and unload a boat and dirtbikes and I hated it, Other then that I always buckle up now
If you really want to disable it., It is in the owners manual

I wear my belt but sometimes I keep the door open while running the stereo and I like to not have the constant ding.

Should always buckle up. My wife eliminated her car less than a quarter mile from home. Not worth the risk.

Well I always wear my belt so the sound never bugs me and that way if some nut hits me I am not eating a airbag so its all good that way.

I'm sorry if my comments offend, BUT.....

There are some of us that actually USE A TRUCK AS A TRUCK.

For example, if I'm out on the property replacing the insulators on the electric fence, hopping out every 20' on private property, I don't need that damned "DING DING DING DING DING" going off the whole time....

If I'm positioning the trailer to launch my boat, I don't need that "DING DING DING DING DING DING DING" going off...

If I'm creeping down a street in "the badlands" trying to vin a dozen cars while on the job at 2 AM, that "DING DING DING DING DING DING DING" could get me shot.

I disable it.... If I could, I'd disable the warning lamp too!!! (It interferes with night vision)

That being said, unless I'm doing one of the activities mentioned above, I'm wearing that belt... Even if it's to drive 400' around the corner for some smokes.... I'm a long-time believer in seatbelts....

Folks (and manufacturers!!!) need to realize there are times/places/activities/occupations where the touchy-feely warning bells and lights can become at least a nuisance, and at worst, a LIABILITY.

I wish there was a program option to turn the overhead lights off when a door is open, that would be really sweet in my line of work..
