Question: My truck shutters on deceleration, but my brake pads are brand new, could this be my U-joints, or are my rotors warped? I have heard of this happening as well. My truck has 59,XXXmi.

how hard of job was this? any helpful tips? im new to the world of rwd
I just posted on this same thing less than a week ago on another board so this is a copy and paste.

To get them out: If you don't have a press then an old deep well socket and a 2 pound sledge are your best bet and heating the yoke with a torch will allow it to expand and make it easier to beat the u joint out. be sure to take the shaft completely out and do your work on a bench or the floor.
As for getting the new one in: Put the new joints in the freezer right now. This does two things. It constricts the steel making an easier fit when you go to tap it into the yoke and it also congeals the grease in the end caps which helps keep the needle bearings in place. I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep your needle bearings from falling out during the install. If they shift in the cap during install and you don't know it and you proceed to beat them in place you will destroy whichever ones have moved. If they fall out all over the ground during install then you will have to clean each of them with solvent and repack the cap with grease and re install everyone of them (32 total i think).
After you have done this once or twice it becomes old hat and is very straight forward.
Good luck and remember to be patient.
