So what is the best CAI that you can get for a 05' Ram 1500 with the 5.7L HEMI? Any opinions?

I've got to lean towards the Airram setup. I privately dyno tested and track tested an Airram vs. the "shorter tube technology" and the Airram won both on the dyno and at the track. <Individual results may vary>.

I don't think you're going to see a night and day difference with any of them. I like my Volant CAI, it's a pretty cleanly done setup and it gained me 1 MPG better mileage. Also, one of our sponsors here, Southern Hotrod, had an awesome price on it too.

I agree with that. Do a search on here and you'll find a ton of opinions. A few guys think they help, most just say it sounds different.

Of the one's that do say they got some help, it seems Airraid and K&N are the most popular.

I must say I like the AEM that I just put on. Seems to have helped fuel mileage a bit. Sound is awesome. The best part is, the air filter is a lifetime filter with NO OIL required. Most k&n's I believe require oiling. what a pain in the butt..

Just take it off, clean it out, dry it, put it back on. It's pretty darn cool.
