does anyone else like their Hemi this much?

RE: does anyone else like their Hemi this much?
If only there was a way to find cheaper gas. Houston has cheap fuel but it's still draining my wallet and depressing me too. I drive a lot for work (300 miles in 3 days) and i feel like crying every time I go to the pumps. I spend a fortune on gas and it doesnt really bother me unless there is a slow season at work and i dont make that much. I'd rather not modify my Hemi, but if I have to, I will. What about you guys? Gas = pain in the ***? I realize that I didnt buy the Hemi for gas mileage but Jesus Christ, what a pain in the ***.

Hey Nos,
I'm afraid there's only one option for you bud. Quit driving the HEMI to work. I know that's not possible with everyone but in layman's terms, HEMI's have big appetites.
Oh sure, you might be able to squeeze out a couple more mpg with a mod here or there but nothing like you need., plus you're adding miles to your ride. What you ought to do is look for a cheap beater. Something like a used Nissen Sentry, or a Civic, something with high miles to be used for work only.
I have a motorcycle I use on good days to to help the sting at the pump not hurt so much. I feel your pain, I was driving 100 miles to work and back with my 2004. In less than two years I racked up 75,000 miles on my new ride!
Now I'm driving only 30 round trip and that's why I bought the 2006. I figure I'd trade he 2004 in while I could still get something for it.
Hope this helps. Sorry I can't help you out more. Face it, HEMI's are just plain thursty!
