Default RB1 and Ipod2Car

I just installed an RB1 and an Ipod2Car interface in my 2003 Ram. It was pretty straightforward. Remove the 1 screw and then pull out the dash bezel.

Unscrew the old radio, remove the antenna and harness. Then I connected the regular antenna, nav antenna, wiring harness and the Ipod harness.

I stuffed the nav antenna up and to the right behind the radio. it's magnetic and stuck to something metal.

I used ever guy's favorite, duct tape, for the Ipod2Car interface unit and ran the wire out the trash bag holder area. Then I mounted the Ipod holder to the dash vent. See the pics below.

Yes, it will change tracks and I believe it can switch between playlists. I haven't tried that yet. The steering wheel controls also work the Ipod.

VERY cool man. Exactly what I want to do in my Daytona, right down to the ipod, but I have just two questions...

1) Where is "the one screw" to remove the dash panel

2) What did you do with the antenna? Please post a picture if possible?

Thanks very much for everyone's help, especially the original poster!

My RB1 Nav system is installed and it is FABULOUS... A worthy upgrade!

You can see pictures of both it, and my dad's matching Daytona at http://www.flickr.com/photos/segwayne

Well, my Ipod2Car interface caused my check engine light to blink, so I dumped it. I replaced it with the new Mopar cable which is both cheaper and works better since it displays the song/artist info.

Then I sold the truck about 2 weeks ago to get an 06 Mega 2500 diesel. I'll be selling the RB1 soon.

Strangely, very strangely, about the time I put in the Ipod2car interface, my air bag warning and check engine warning started to randomly (VERY seldom, but still) dinging... I cannot say for certain whether it did, or did not happen before I installed it. It could have been but I just didn't notice it.

1) Is *that* what's causing it?
2) Do you have a part number/price/etcetera for the Mopar cable?
