Mounting Tweeters - door, A-Pillar, or dash? Opinions please!!
I currently have a component speaker set mounted in my front doors (6.5" and separate tweeters), and was wondering if anyone has tried to relocate their tweeters to the triangular piece of door panel that meets the A-Pillar (it has the oval embossed ram logo)? I saw some previous threads where the tweeters were placed in the dash in place of the 3.5" locations, but I really want to mount the tweeters on the pillar.
Anyone drilled holes for tweeters, have pics, or have an opinion on how it sounds?

That might look kinda weird, at least to me. Honestly, the Infinity tweeters that came stock in my Big Horn are very nice, even though I've replaced all other speakers in my system plus added a woofer.
The highs are very crisp, but definitely stronger in the front of the cab, so I'd suggest two more tweeters mounted in your rear doors for balance.
Just my opinion.

Go with the sail panel. It's easy to get to and there's lots of room behind the door trim for your crossover. By putting them on the sail you can point them right at your head, which is optimum. You won't get the same effect if you put the tweeters on the dash.
