EMPLOYEE PRICING QUESTION PLZ!!
I was in my dealer today trying to hammer out a deal and they are telling me that there is NO bargaining on the MRSP PRICE. The employee discount is set.
My question is this true? The truck i want has allot of accessories etc. I just thought perhaps they can work something out.I`m not sure if I should give him what he wants or walk??
I’m looking forward to what everyone knows about this Plz

Yes with the employee discount there is no haggling. The employee price will be right on the invoice at the bottom. It will say "EP" then the amount beside it.
I don't know, Dodge is sitting on a LOT of inventory and I know the "EP" isn't close to the price I paid for my Ram Big Horn.....WALK. Last weekend dealers around here were offering SUBSTANTIAL discounts on all Ram trucks.....they had the V-6 version for around $14-15K and the 5.7's for about $19K.
Employee pricing is set is true. They price out the truck with the standard features, then add on the accessories to it, or at least they did mine.
I still saved a great amount over what the haggled price may have been at the time.
They said the EP is $1000 behind invoice.

i work at a dodge dealer and generally the employee price is about 400-600 back of invoice (depending on model) and that is a no haggle price, that is set by the factory. However anything the dealer has added is up for discussion. ie:06 srt10 ram qc , dealership ate 110 for window tint because customer didnt want it, medial loss for a 45-50 K truck.
I have not priced one at the employee price, but if it is $400.00 to $600.00 behind invoice, as has been posted, it would seem to be a good price without much, if any, haggling room. You didn't say if you were trading anything in, if you are, that may be where your haggling would be useful.
Have you checked the KBB on the actual invoice price of the vehicle you are looking at? I would want to know for myself that the price they were showing me was correct. I have never bought a vehicle without starting my haggling at the invoice price, and I can tell you that they are still making money selling it to you at the $600.00 below invoice, but of course, this is why they are in business. The, so called, employee price doesn't sound so great to me, they probably have that much in dealer hold-out, I'd walk out at least once, and try another dealer.

it's all B/S, When I bought my truck, no employee pricing, but that's ok, I got 6 years at 0% threw Chrysler credit, now Chrysler is offering employee pricing, and 0% for 3 years, so if you have cash in hand you may get a deal, but if you finance over 48 to 60 months your not at 0% ( don't know the rate ).
For the hell of it, I'm going to build my truck on line and see if employee pricing will make a differance, I factery orderd my truck and gave back the pos Ford 04 F-150 I was leasing three months early so I could get into a Ram.
Problem with thease B/S sales gimack's is it really add's to the depreachation facter, I'm drivng my 06 until the end of the world, so I'm not to worried and most dealers I have seen have raised the MSRP to off set the Employee pricing, eithier way it's all gimacky, bottom line is you set the price or pay what the dealerships want, or walk away, soon the 06's are going to be old news and every dealer will want to push them off the lot, quick..
