I own a 03 RC Hemi Ram it has just 35,000miles on it. I bought it from a 54 year old man so I know it has not be beatin on. But the thing is when I move through the gears like from Park to Reverse I hear alittle noise then a click! But somtimes when I push the brake pedal all the way down the sound is barly there or no there at all. I only hear the sound going from P to R or P to D or R to D. Now the question is should I go to shop and ask them to go through my transmission with a fine tooth coam and see what the problem is. I get my car through a check up 2months ago but I don't think they did a transmission flush should i tell them to do that would that fix the noise or if its a problem fix it. And I plan on some descent modd's in August like headers, cam's, CAI, 4.56gears and being an 03 beehive valvesprings just want my truck to be in good shape so I don't need a new trans after all my work on the truck is done.

 

I would check the universal joints on the drive shaft and see if they need to be replaced.

 

are you on a incline when this happens? or are you on flat ground?

 

Happens on both. Its worse on a incline though noticed it at my gf house.

 

if it only happened on a incline then i would say it was normal but since it happens on both you probably should get your u-joints checked like mazz said. if thats not it then come back and let us know.

 

Going to have the truck checked out on Monday. But won't be to get back to you guys untill I get back from texas on the 17th. Thanks for your help guys.

 

And if the universal joints need to be replaced how long would that take?

 

For some one who know what their doing about 30 min or so I would guess but I have never done this to a Dodge.

A weird thing happened today I went from Park to Reverse but he didn't go into Reverse it stayed in Park but ther I went to park then reverse again and then it went into reverse. Is this a sign of a serious problem?
