Default Just had axles and transfer case serviced now trouble

I just had the dealer do the whole driveline service now when I shift into 4hi back into 2wd the stick shift want to slide back and forth too easily between N-2wd-4hi. It doesn't seem to be locking in to 2wd firmly like it did before sevice.? Any thoughts?

Yes,
Take it back and tell them to make it right, and ask what they did to make it wrong in the first place.

Took it back to the dealer. He says transfer case needs rebuilt. It wont even stay in 4wd coming down the dirt driveway. It just slides onto 2wd. What happened? I told the dealer I put it in 4wd to check to see if everything was working. He says 4wd on pavement is a no-no. But 25 mph in s straight line? The transfer case should not be that sensitive. Thank you warranty. He said one they rebuild would be better than one of the shelf?

My owners manual ('03) says 4wd high is good up to 55mph on any surface. You might want to show the dealer your owners manual. Maybe even contact DC directly if the dealer wants to be a *****.
