oh, okay i was just trying to keep from posting it all again, but here it is.....

since i have striped my car my system was just collecting dust, so i figured i would do something with it. so i went to lowes and bought a sheet of 3/4" mdf and started cutting. this is what i ended up with....

i then went to joanns fabric store and bought some black vinyl that had the same pattern as the leather in the truck. once it was wrapped i test fit it so i could see where to drill some holes so that the seats would be bolted down here are the test fit pictures.....

once i got the holes drilled i was able to bolt it down using the seat bracket bolts which you will see in the pics. all thats left is to put a few screws across the front to seal it up a little better and it will be finished. it sounds great and i must say this was one of my best custom made projects, heres the final pics.....

BTW, those are two 12" subs and in the last pic that shows both subs, i have no idea what that is thats bright in the middle, cause once i saw the pic, i went back and looked and its not like that. also i have the amp mounted under the drivers seat. no exposed wires, no buldges in the carpet, if you were to see it you would think it was done professionally

okay, what would you like me to call it, a sub enclosure?

either way its bolted and screwed to the floor to seal it up and the subs sit in an empty space which was made by that sheet of mdf

Honestly It looks like a box to me... and to think by NOT building an enclosure he was able to make use of the EXTRA space and use 12's instead of 10's... As long as its sealed up...

Another point is, either way sealed or not it will still sound GREAT.... OK he may not be able to win any BASE comps with it but to the average ear it will sound great and feel better... I think it looks great and makes good use of the space provided. Sure we can all nickpick it to death... but why... it looks real good and it works well... Give the man some props...the average joe could not do what he just did.
