Default RE: custom sub box

That enclosure looks great!! Sounds like alot of work though. I found a sub box for my 2005 SLT 1500 4X4 on ebay for $47.00. I could not believe the price. I also found 2 10 inch Audiobahn subs for $47.00 also. I had already installed my system with one 4 channel Alpine amp running my highs, and another amp to run the subs. Man, does that Ram sound good. So, if you guys are handy with the tools, build it and they will come, but some of us arent that crafty. Good luck to all!!

theres a part you can buy at best buy or any place that does installs that you tap into the speaker wires and it allows you to hook up the rca cables. i will say that it doesnt sound that great cause you cant fine tune it and i am going to get a new deck

If you get a mono block sub amp, you can do the fine tuning with the amp and then just get a cross-over to eliminate all the treb and mid. Thats all i did and mine sounds better then when i had an aftermarket deck i think.

Most amps should have a built in low-pass filter.

nice job looks good definitely a good job on the Vinyl work... Now where the subs are actually housed? Did u fiberglass a mold to go in there so that it is completely sealed? Or is your subs just sitting in an open area surrounded by Sheet metal? Im curious to know cause i didnt see any pictures of the interior of the enclosure

Ok I,m damn slow but I just bought an amp and the mdf to build this but I noticed there will be a gap around wher the bolts are. Did you seal that off or jus use washers there to keep it flat?
