Default My new tires -- BFG All-Terrain T/A KO

Got my new tires today!
Almost wish i'd gone bigger than 285/70/17, but i'll live with these until they wear out.
Love the aggressive look (more aggressive than stock anyway.)

BFG are awsome, My new Ram 2500 has RT T/A and I bought a set of R/T T/A for my 04 F-150, ( need extra rims for the Ram ) I'm kicking my but for not putting nud flaps on The new Ram, The BFG kick up a lot of rocks, and I havent gone off road, This weekend mud flaps are going on and I have a date with some touch up paint, BFG are great tires, your all terrain will ride like your on rails, even off road.

i love those wheels ... been trying to find someone selling them used ... i'm going with those tires as well but i was looking at the 265's instead the 285's because i was worried about performance and mileage decrease ... has that changed drastically? any rubbing at all? mine's a 03 2wd 1500 4.7

Those look great on your RAM, I was thinking of getting them for my Dakota in a 265/65/16 and replace the AT Goodyears that are on there.

They look great. I like the look of the BFG's. I have not seen to many with the white letters out, looks good.

Here is a list of the difference between the stock 265/70/17 and the 285/70/17.

These differences put the speedo just under 3 mph off. I can deal with that.
Even with the 4.7 I don't feel much if any power loss.
I gained just over 1/2 inch ground clearance. Not really enough to mention :-(
No rubbing whatsoever. I ACTUALLY believe there is room to go bigger. Anyone tried?

I'm very pleased, so far.

My truck had 245/75/17's on it as well.. I think that is what it had on it stock. I think I am going to go with a 305/70/17 If I can find a nice agressive tire in that size.

so the 285's will be no problem for our trucks then?
