I was not kicked out of Dodgetalk.
I have never been thrown out of any forum.
Check over there in the comedy section.

I have considerable respect for Ron Wilson at Dodgetalk
and have known him for years.

Some forum software upgrades may be arriving soon
that might be embarassing to someone who has been posting
under multiple names for awhile....

We all have learned 'the hard way' that the internet has viruses, worms, rootkits, and phishing scams going.

But people on internet forums should beware of the tricks of multiple posters
and 'pump and dump' schemes to sell questionable products.

When you read on a forum that

"Everyone is buying this"
"You are not cool if you don't have one of these"
"Smart people already bought this"

it is wise to ponder whether 'everybody'
is actually just a handful
that are posting under multiple names and
'pumping up' a product
that they hope will 'dump' some of your money into their bank accounts.

The old joke that

"The easiest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your wallet"

stays around because of the truth in it.

I really don't understand what Hank has done to help this thread. Everything you automatically say are lies and blasphemy.

Back to MPG.

So I am the biggest doubter of all the bolt ons. I do not believe any bolt on will increase your MPG. It has never worked for me on any vehicle I have owned.

That being said I had to spend the $30 on the foolish power wire everyone raves about. I made one myself, couldn't figure out the right resistance that actually gave me a benefit.

I really hope that I am wrong and this things does have some benefits. Or else everyone here needs to recalibrate there butt dyno and go back to 4th grade to figure out there MPG. I will do my best to be objective, I have been keeping good track of my mileage the last two weeks.

Any idea when I will see it AirRam?

Man, some of you guys really have large chips on your shoulder. As has been said many times by many people, it's not one or two bolt on's that do the trick, it's the combination of many different things. I don't know Air Ram from anything other than his posts here but I have no reason to believe he is lying. Look at what he has done to his truck. It's not even close to stock but some people just keep drilling on him like he's a liar or something. He also has gone INTO his engine not just bolt-on's. If you do not have the same truck with the same mods then just how the he!! can you call him a liar? Most everything I read has been either "my brothers cousin did this thing once and it didn't work......" or, "I heard......" or cut and paste from other sources and everyone knows everybody tells the truth on the internet (insert sarcasm here). I'm not hammering anyone in particular but dang, some people need to let up a little. You would think this was a group of old women sometimes.

As far as the power wire goes, although I have never used it on my truck, I use the same principle everyday. I have to calibrate PH in the water we pretreat before sending it to the city and PH is dependant on temperature. We use a 4.5 resistor ( I think, to lazy to double check) to trick the ph controller computer into thinking it's reading a constant 26 degrees C so yeah, it might work on a truck which will adjust your fuel curve. I'm planning on getting one myself. Hell what's $30. Most of us pi$$ that away on nothing anyway.

I did the gear swap not for mileage but for towing applications based on Air Ram's insistance and then GreenJeepsRule and lots of internet searching - which surprisingly there is not much info on. I am extremely satisfied with the upgrade and I got help from Air Ram when my mechanic hit a minor flaw. Only one other person chimed in when I asked for help....no body else....and he was dead on correct so the guy is pretty solid in my book. Did I get a 1-2 mpg like what was said? No. But I did not lose mpg either and I also only did 1 modification not a whole list of them. I think people who buy a full size truck and spend all their time griping about the mileage need to get a clue anyway. Does nobody read the sticker or look it up on the internet before buying it? Do you think the dealers are lying when it say 14 city 17 hwy? They have been pretty accurate so far.....
I also curious which of the nay sayers has spent their time and money making their personal truck a guinnea pig for the very products they sell? Anyone else started their own business doing it?

How about a bet AirSham?

You and I put up $30,000 cash each
and let the moderators at Dodgeforum hold the money.

Then we get a three person team to judge whether your suggestions for MPG improvement
are superior to the suggestions I make in the weblink to the FAQ above.

I suggest for the 3 person judging team:

1. Retired Chrysler and General Electric engine wizard Tom Hoover.
Tom Hoover is the 'godfather of the 426 Hemi and the 340'
and also the guy whose fuel economy improvement work took General Electric Co from having 20% of the USA Locomotive business to having 80% of the business. He is in the SAE Hall of Fame.

2. The head of this school in Texas
http://www.samracing.com/main.htm

3. The head of this NASCAR sponsored school
http://www.mees.uncc.edu/motorsprt/index.html

Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is?

If legendary Texan Carroll Shelby, or Roger Penske, or Richard Petty would agree to serve as judges I would readily agree to any of them as well.

This guy needs to be reined in on the thread-hijacking personal attacks or removed. It gets old sorting through his crap to extract anything from the threads that he launches attacks in.
