Default leveling

alright said to hell with lowering my truck gonna just life it. i only want to level it out so i can run 33's. nothin crazy. what is better though the spacers or getting new coils. ive been able to find both and the are about the same price but who has done either and knows how the ride differs. im gonna change the shocks out and put in some rancho 5000 series but dont know whether to go with spacers or new coils.

any info would really help

I have a spacer kit that I am going to put on soon. I have been saying that for some time now haha. Its a 2.5" by daystar. That should level it out nice. I have some Rancho 5000 all the way around they have been good so far. Just know that if you go with a leveling kit, coil or coil spacer, you need to get some longer shocks also otherwise you risk the chance of hurting some of the componets when the suspension reaches full extension.

yeah the kit that im looking at has the part number for the extended rancho shocks in it. almost every site that i look at you can get the shocks with the leveling parts.

Ok well thats good. I don't have mine on yet because I am going to put it on myself. As soon as I get the time and I am able to buy or go rent the right tools I am going to do it. As soon as I do I will post on it with some pic's.

im plannin on doin mine myself also. it isnt that hard to do i wouldnt think. you shouldnt need any specific tools either.
i say this because ive lowered cars and trucks before and lifting shouldnt be too much different. but i could be wrong.

Well I am not sure about a spring compressor I think I can get by without that but I think I need a tool to remove the upper balljoint and the tie rod on the sway bar. I have a link to someone who did this themself if you would like to read it, I dont know if I can post it ill try.

yeah thanks for tipping me off to that. i think that just replacing the coils will be much easier if im gonna have to go through all that. one guy said that it was easier to release the upper control arm then just get it aligned. its gonna be a saturday project anyway so ill have the whole day to fool with it.
