who makes the best air intake system
What company do you guys think makes the best cold air intake system (K&N, AEM, Volant,Air Ram)? please debate on this as much as possible because there are so many out there and im sure people want to know what is the best for their truck.
i just bought my second AEM Brute Force CAI and i love it. I had a K&N prior to this one, and sold it to a buddy of mine so i could buy my AEM and i'm glad i did. My vote would be for the AEM Brute Force, but to each his own
I have a Volant on my 06 HEMI. I like the idea of an enclosed intake system. Also, they used my truck for a "check fit" and installed it themselves. I love having it on. I can feel the difference and improved gas mileage about 1-2 MPG. Some of the K&N intakes were not legal in California so I didn't even check on them. Plus, I live near the Volant Performance HQ.
When I was n/a, I did some testing with an Airram and one of the short tube technology intakes. Track tested them and dyno tested them. The Airram won both at the track and at the dyno. I'd have to say Airram!!

I have always been a fan for the K&N. But for my 06 I went with the DUB CAI. And I love it. Adds color and reaaly adds the power. The systems lays on top of the stock lower half of the box. And the chrome box is awsome.
I'm really surprised that no one mentioned AFE. Look into it here: http://www.afefilters.com
Before spending any money on an aftermarket air intake system,
go down to the dealership and look at the air intake on a SRT10 Ram
As you look it over
keep in mind that SRT Engineering Division of Dodge
could have put just about any air intake they wanted in there to feed the big V10
and that they chose that airbox you see
put the air inlet where it is
...and did not set up the Ram Air hood to be functional
even though SRT knew the SRT10 Ram was going to try
for a land speed record on the salt flats.
