Yup, get a piece of 30-40# mono fishing line. Make it around 1.5-2ft long.

Get it behind the badge and just use a sawing motion to take off the badge. Then do what was said above to remove the adhesive.

I've heard that making the glue cold with an ice cube makes it easier than warming it up.
