Wow that really sucks. You DEFFINATELY arent freaking out over this or over reacting. This brings back bad memories of my old chevy. After years of shutting the doors the hinges bent slightly and made the doors not line up at all. Even replacing the hinges and bolting them back on straight didnt work they were still way off. As for your truck it almost sounds like the hinges are bad on the doors which would be one reason the doors are off. And the fact that it has molding? on one side and not the other sounds like you got a bad deal. I'd take it back to the dealer where you bought it and have them fix it cause it doesnt sound like a quick fix by any means. Did you notice it before you bought the truck that the sides were different and if the doors lined up right? Thats the first thing I look for with my Ram. I walked it over front to back climbed under it and looked over everything before I wrote them a check for it.

saw body molding missing, but was told they must have left it off. did not notice the doors till tonight but i am very unhappy and the dealer will be hearing from me in am.i only hope that they will fix it without a hassle, all i want is the truck repaired but if not i want a new truck.i do not think they will give me a new truck without having a major fight.

Any signs of body work? Sounds like some shoddy bodywork and they didn't put a molding on. If not, I'd make sure the dealership makes it right. This isn't right on a new truck.

I have a 2004 RAM QUAD CAB. The drivers door was not lined up , lots of wind noise. Dealer could not fix the problem. I paid a local body shop to line up the drivers side, cost $75. The problem is gone and I will never go back to the dealer. When you have any type of body problems it is best to see a good body shop.

You may want to look into the "LEMON LAWS" for your state now, and see what it says about "unfixable" repairs, and what the number of unresolved visits it requires before you can force them to return your money, or perhaps a new identical truck. It is also possible something was dented before your truck arrived at the dealer, and they did a shoddy job of repair. Do your homework now, so, if you do have to exercise this right, you know right where you stand.

P.S.--I wouldn't mention anything about the lemon law at the dealer right now, or until you really need to, just be educated.

The best $75 I ever spent. I would much rather pay to get things done then have the dealer waist my time. Some things they are good at but when it comes to body work of any kind forget about it.

Great! I have two dealers about 15 min from my house, I will not go back to them if they paid me. I did find a great dealer about 1 hr away, great service and nice people.
Did you make any changes to your truck ? ie: CAI, headers, etc.
