HEMI Hesitation
do any 2006 hemi owners ever feel their HEMI is hesitating on slow ecceleration. i tink it might be the MDS. let me know if i'm wrong or if u have the same problem.
PS. I drive a brand new 06 ram QC SB HEMI. it only has 300 miles on it.

I have one in my 04. I think that it's the fly-by-wire throttle. It seems more like theres "slack" in the cable and you have to press it a little further then normal before it starts to open the TB. That's my opinion on it at least.

We have an electronically controlled throttle, and my guess is (from some research, and other posts), is that Chrysler softened the throttle response in 06's. I have heard that a programmer like a Superchips Flashpaq will fix it though.
Thanks for the input, i appreciate it, i think it is the MDS, when i smash the pedal, there is no problem, only on light ecceleration. does the MDS also cause vibrations in the pedal, becasue i also feel them when i hit around 65km/h...that would be about 45mph in the states?

Alright, guys/gals.
Sorry to bring up old s#@t, but I've been having this same issue with my 2008 1500 5.7 Hemi. It seems like it is hesitating when it's cold, and just doesn't run very smoothly at low speeds. If I mash on the throttle, it jumps to life and we are off.
I called the dealer, and they said to bring it in. It probably just needs an update or something like that. Has anyone else had this problem and gotten it fixed?
Thanks

This is the same issue I'm having with my '08 1500 HEMI... had a service guy take it for a ride, and he seemed to think it was normal and said that if no lights are coming on, it's probably OK... so I took a different new truck out for a ride and it did almost the same thing, didn't seem as bad, but still noticeable... has to be the MDS because if hit "tow/haul" while it's doing it, it stops.
It's the tranny and the ****ty programming for it...it's just like with a stick and not down shifting when you punch it. The hemi engine is about the only part of the drivetrain that I trust on my ram.
